The first time I used it inside my house, I didn’t think it smelled bad…but it smelled like strong chemical vapor and it made me feel nauseated slightly. Worse, my wife from across the house yelled what’s that checmial smell???In comparison, I’ve used Hoppe’s 9 cleaner (not the solvent aerosol can) inside my house multiple times. I never felt nauseated and my wife never asked me what’s that smell. It’s possible that the spraying made it seem worse than Hoppe’s 9. In the future, I think I’ll use this only in the garage and only when cleaning my shotgun bore.Meanwhile, I’ll buy Hoppe’s 9 solven aerosol can to try. I do really like the spraying action, which makes cleaning so much easier.
